A Work In Progress
“Out of stock.” “Out of stock.” “Out of stock.”
Who knew that teeny-tiny tree lights might not be available in time for Christmas? For that matter, who knew that we would need or even want more teeny-tiny lights on a thin copper wire? We already had one “set” of them, if indeed lights on a wire can be called a set. Sixteen feet! Surely that would be enough for our teeny-tiny three-foot tree.
But, the truth of the matter is that sixteen feet will go round and round only far enough to take care of the top third of the tree. The top and narrowest third, at that. I wish I’d had a formula. You know… so many feet of wire equals so many wraps around a tree with X-number of branches, each branch so many inches in length etc. We Might (capital ‘M’) be getting two more lengths by the 23rd.

Heidemarie’s Christmas Angel
Meanwhile, we are continuing to decorate — just Heidemarie’s darling little angels right now — but we’ll stop short of the tinsel. It’s hard to add lights after the tinsel goes on and we are still hopeful, even as we berate ourselves that we were caught short. After all, we are hardly the only ones who are having a downsized celebration this Christmas. We should have anticipated that those little lights would be in short supply.
Meanwhile, we thank our lucky stars that it’s lights we are waiting for. Not toilet paper!
Ross often has many of those sets available, but most likely will be battery operated.
Yes, ours are battery-operated as well. We found the brand that we needed at Amazon. As it turned out, there are a gazillion teeny-tiny lights available but every different brand has its own “look” and we, stubborn folks that we are, wanted them all to match. So… ’tis done and we are happy. Thanks so much for weighing in!
