Save the Date!

In all the excitement of getting Nyel home from the hospital, I sort of lost sight of the fact that my new book is out.  YES!  GHOST STORIES OF THE LONG BEACH PENINSULA IS AVAILABLE NOW!  It should be at bookstores locally (Long Beach Peninsula area) this week.  If you are not do not live within commuting distance of  Oysterville, you may have to request that your bookseller-of-choice get it from their distributor or directly from History Press.  If you are thinking of ordering from Amazon.com, please do so by going to my website, sydneyofoysterville.com and ordering for the amazon icon that you will find there.  (I get a little bit of additional money if you do that but it doesn’t cost you any more at all.)

Also, be sure to mark your calendar for a signing/event to take place on Saturday, October 25th at 3;00 p.m. at Adelaide’s Coffee and Books in Ocean Park.  Books will be available there (of course!) right in time for Halloween!  We’ll undoubtedly be sharing a few ghost stories and comparing notes about the haunted places here at the beach.  And, who knows?  Maybe a few of the main characters from my book will pay us a visit as well!

Eleven ghosts have starring roles in  GHOST STORIES OF THE LONG BEACH PENINSULA — four in Oysterville,  two in Nahcotta, one in Ocean Park, two in Long Beach, one in Seaview, and one at North Head.  They involve three men, four women, two children, one unknown, and one inanimate object.  Most haunt familiar buildings and many have given evidence of their presence within the fairly recent past. Even since I first wrote these stories for the Chinook Observer eight years ago, more information has come to light about some of the people or circumstances involved.  I am eager to learn what other information will be forthcoming.
