Propped Up Until Summer?

Perhaps we’d been lulled into complacency by our mild winter but when the wind kicked up the other night we didn’t think much about it.  It seemed a little intense but not worrisome.

Predictably, for that’s how it’s been for these past few months, the next day dawned bright and calm.  However, it wasn’t too long before we heard the that a large branch had fallen on the house up the street and had taken out part of the balcony railing. Rotten luck!

And it wasn’t long after  that when we found a section of our south fence face down in the lane. Not a surprise, really.  But we were hoping for a few more months of grace.  Now it’s right at the top of Nyel’s summer project list… minus the summer part.
