I’m not sure if the Time Magazine cover I saw online yesterday was the real deal or not.  Maybe it was an ‘alternative’ cover.  Whatever…  It was brilliant!  One of those “a picture is worth 1,000 words” images, except this picture brought to mind one million plus women and a sea of pink.  And more than 600 other marches all over the world.

Then there’s the whole “alternative fact” thing.  Unbelievable!  But… fun!  In fact, I don’t know when I’ve laughed so much!  It’s getting so I’m actually looking forward to the next headline or the next pronouncement by a member of President Tweety’s team.  I’ve even reneged (maybe) on my decision to stop watching the television news.  I’m just not calling it by that ‘news’ name.  It’s more like a reality-show-sit-com and, as my sainted mother used to say, it’s better to laugh than to cry.

Which brings up something else – something not even close to politically correct.  (Although I have to think that nowadays that particular expression is a complete oxymoron!)  Have you ever noticed how the higher one’s IQ quotient is, the better their sense of humor?  Seriously.  Look up the research.  And though I’m probably pissing off a whole lot of serious-minded people, I have to say that finding the humor in our new President’s latest pronouncements is not something many of his followers are likely to do.  Think about it…

I wonder daily how it will all play out.  How many of Team Trump will last for four years?  For that matter, will their fearless leader be able to go the distance?  Certainly not with grace or good humor.  Hang onto your hats (especially the pink pussies)!  We’re in for quite a ride!
