Nick and Barbara – two friends in hospice.
He, much too young to leave us,
She, taking years of wisdom with her.
He, out of energy to fight now,
She, peaceful with her choice.
Hold hands when you cross, my friends.
There are no degrees of separation.
A teary-eyed “thank you” for putting it so simply and beautifully.
May they find peace in Summerland.
Being human—so beautiful, so heart-breaking.
So beautiful Sidney. Until now I didn’t know about Barbara. Sending love.
A touching reminder that we are only given the moment and that each moment should be lived to the fullest and with intention.
Such a beautiful prayer. thank you for sharing.
I did not know about Barbara Minard. I’ve been grieving all day. A fine, wise person I will miss her. Thought I’d see her again, but once again, it’s too late.
So sorry Sydney – it’s so hard to lose our near & dears especially when it seems just too soon…sending hugs, Marta
Thank you Sydney. Wonderful words for two tragedies.
Thank for your words Sydney, these are two that it’s hard to say goodbye to
Sydney: this is a beautiful prayer/prose poem! Just needs to reside visually on the page s bit differently. More in person.
I don’t think I’ve ever read anything more beautiful. I didn’t even know these people, but my heart hurts reading this. Sydney, what a gift you have given to their families and loved ones.
