The GoFundMe site for Nicholas Wilson- Codega is up on FaceBook now. I first saw it last night. It had been up less than twenty-four hours and, already, more than $1,200 had been added to the account. This morning it’s over $3,000 and climbing! Wow!
That doesn’t even count all the contributions people have been making during the past few weeks – sending their checks directly to The Wilson-Codega Fund in care of Nick’s mother, Leigh. She says that those checks have amounted to more than $5,000 and they are still coming in! Wow some more!
And, the Luau fund-raiser at the Lost Roo is coming up on Tuesday! Somehow, I think of that more as a Community Christmas Party in honor of Nick. So many people are helping and so many people have said they are going. Food, music, friends, neighbors – all that positive, loving energy! The money seems almost incidental – but, of course, it isn’t.
What a fabulously generous community we have! I’m looking forward to breaking bread and raising a glass with all of you! For Nick — a young man from the Peninsula. A kid from Oysterville!
Such great news!
